Beyond the Tech: An AI Book to Empower You Through the AI Revolution
What if your business, as you know it, ceased to exist five years from now? It might sound extreme, but the reality is that we’re on the cusp of an AI-driven upheaval, one that is going to make the changes we've seen in the past seem minor by comparison. If you are an entrepreneur looking for the best AI book to teach you how to navigate this disruption, then keep reading so you're in the know of what happens next.
For example, the Future of Jobs Report 2025 predicts that a staggering 39% of skill sets will be completely transformed or obsolete within the next five years. For entrepreneurs, this isn't just a job market problem. This is a major disruption to your business, and you will need to select the right AI book to help you through it.
We are witnessing a psychological shift of monumental proportions. A shift and acceptance from interacting with humans to interacting with AI, and it is being driven by anytime, anywhere communication that is efficient and cheap. This shift is set to be accelerated by what I term as Phase 3 AI, and its emergence will drastically change how you run and market your business.
The Catalyst: The Emergence of Phase 3 AI Will Change The Way You Run and Market Your Business
We’ve been hearing about Phase 3 AI for some time now, and many (including myself) have predicted its impact. However, what we’ve failed to grasp is how quickly it would begin to reshape our economy. To grasp its effect, we need to introduce new rules for not just surviving, but thriving during the AI Revolution.
As I’ve been teaching for the past two years, most recently in my book, “The Wolf is at the Door - How to Survive and Thrive in an AI-Driven World,” is that Phase 3 AI is characterized by the introduction of AI Agents;
Phase 1 introduced us to chatbots.
Phase 2 brought reasoning capabilities.
Now, in Phase 3, we’re looking at AI agents acting as digital employees, or even CEOs, autonomously managing marketing, sales, and social media operations with minimal oversight.
AI Agents are designed to help you do your job and run your business better. But what happens when it begins to replace you instead?
Think it won't - watch the video above for a full breakdown of what it is now capable of.
If you’ve been following the AI news on my blog, you’ll know that the introduction of AI Agents isn’t something far off in the future. Microsoft, Salesforce, OpenAI, ClaudeAI, and Google have all been aggressively pursuing the creation and now the deployment of AI Agents to cash in.
Google just launched Google Agent Space, a hub for pulling all the data from various platforms like emails, documents, spreadsheets, and third-party apps together. Each of these companies are racing to take the lead in 2025. More on Google Agent Space shortly, but first, we must consider the rapidly shifting economic impact.
To give you an example of what that means for your business, just look at OpenAI’s launch. Fiverr reported a 21% drop in demand for digital freelancers within the first year.
Which leads us to the first and most important rule in the AI revolution to help you combat any decline in revenue you may experience in your industry as a result of AI Agents and other technological advances that are coming hard and fast.
Rule Number 1: Expect The Unexpected

Rule Number 1 in my AI book is to expect the unexpected. This means not just learning how to use AI but adapting to how it will reshape your entire future. That’s the key difference and why it is so important to understand that we cannot adapt to something we do not truly understand.
Think about that for a moment. What's even more concerning is that;
63% of companies have identified skill gaps in adapting to this change. What does that mean for your business? Your clients are adapting to this change to save money, just as you are, and you may not have the skills needed to survive.
Successful entrepreneurs, however, identify threats to their business so they can pivot to new opportunities. But, to find them, you must be informed. That doesn't mean becoming distracted by the latest AI tools, it means understanding how your consumers might use AI to replace your services, and what the problems are that AI will introduce that you can turn into opportunities to generate revenue.
To help you get up to speed fast on these changes, you can get two free chapters from my book now, along with several other free resources. But, before you do, here's why AI literacy matters so much right now and the key areas in which you must upgrade your skills.
Why AI Literacy Matters Now (And How AI Books Can Help You Unlock New Opportunities)

The signs are everywhere: AI is fundamentally changing how we work, create, and do business. In the past, during the Great Depression of the 1930s, people fought to "keep the wolf from the door" as they lost jobs and homes. During the Great Recession of 2007-2009, tent cities sprang up across America as nearly nine million workers found themselves jobless. Today, the wolf is AI, and it isn't just knocking; it has kicked the door wide open, while many of us haven't been paying attention.
The solution? AI literacy.
"The Future of Jobs Report clearly states that technological literacy is the 6th most important skill in the upcoming AI era."
For entrepreneurs, this means staying informed and developing key competencies needed to navigate this disruption on the above list. That's why at the end of each chapter in my book, "The Wolf is at the Door - How to Survive and Thrive in an AI-Driven World" you’ll find an ‘Adventurer's Handbook’ that helps to decode AI jargon, develop critical and analytical thinking skills, resilience and creative thinking.
Let's begin with the essential AI terms you need to know. With companies increasingly integrating AI into their products, understanding these fundamentals will help you make smarter decisions about which tools you actually need – and avoid paying twice for the same capabilities.
Which brings us to Rule Number 2.
Rule Number 2: Avoid Cruel Optimism – A Warning for Business Leaders
As an entrepreneur facing the AI revolution, it’s crucial to avoid the trap of "cruel optimism." Cruel optimism is when you cling to a vision of the future that is unlikely or harmful.
You might hear some AI gurus repeating the phrase;
"AI won’t replace you, but someone using it will," but fail to acknowledge that "someone" could be your clients. This overly simplified view is what I call cruel optimism because it ignores that clients are likely using AI to reduce their costs in the same way you may be using it to reduce yours."
This means that those that are offering services may face a decline in demand, unless they pivot and adapt. So, be wary of any AI experts claiming that AI won't displace you because it is likely you are at risk. This means that those offering services may face a decline in demand if they do not pivot and adapt quickly, as their clients also seek to reduce costs.
So, instead of relying on false assurances that "AI won't replace you", look to the core skills like analytical thinking, flexibility, motivation, and creative thinking to understand the new landscape. This mindset, however, must be paired with a solid understanding of what AI is and what it is not capable of.
That's why, on page 32 of my AI book, "The Wolf Is at the Door - How to Survive and Thrive in an AI-Driven World," you'll find a breakdown of common AI capabilities. Understanding the true capabilities of these tools, and not just the hype around them, will allow you to navigate this new world by identifying your unique strengths, and opportunities to leverage.
What capabilities of AI are essential for success? Here's your starting point (page 32.)
What follows is a non-exhaustive list to begin your assessment. The book dives into much more detail by sharing up-to-date case studies of how AI is being used in a variety of fields.
Why Reading an AI Book Is a Necessity for Every Entrepreneur Right Now

Investment bank Goldman Sachs estimates that AI could automate nearly 300 million jobs. And here's the truly unsettling part: we are wildly unprepared for both the dangers and the opportunities that AI presents. It’s not just about job losses. It’s about a fundamental change to how we work, how we earn, and how we find purpose in a world where an AI can do many of our jobs more efficiently than we can.
This isn't just an issue for employees; this directly affects business owners, too. Consider how these changes might impact you:
Increased Competition: As AI becomes more accessible, more businesses, both established and newly formed, will begin using it to streamline operations, cut costs, and provide more efficient services. Reimagine your business now so your services aren't part of the cut costs.
Changes in Consumer Behavior: AI is changing the way customers shop, discover products, and interact with businesses. You need to understand these shifts and how to meet the expectations of today’s AI-savvy consumer. The AI landscape is shifting so rapidly, with new developments appearing almost weekly that can impact how customers find and engage with you online, which is why AI marketing 101 are now absolutely critical skills.
Reevaluating Your Value Proposition: What makes your business unique in a world where AI can perform many tasks? You’ll need to analyze the services you offer and pinpoint what is not easily replicated by AI. It could be your expertise, your relationships, your nuanced understanding of your industry, or it could be something else entirely. Your challenge as an entrepreneur will be to highlight these differences, because as I mention in my book, "avoiding cruel optimism" will be essential.
Shifting Skill Sets: As businesses begin to adopt AI, the skill set needed for employees will change as well. Therefore, your business will need to be ready to change with them, or else be left behind. Your responsibility is not only to yourself, but your employees. As the report states, that the skill set needed for the modern workplace is transforming faster than ever, it means you must adopt strategies to keep up. That means good AI books for you, the leader, is more essential than ever.
Need For a Competitive Edge: The misconception that it is enough to merely use AI. This will leave you at a disadvantage. Those who use a targeted approach by utilizing analytical thinking to identify the strengths and weaknesses, will have the advantage.
Many, especially economists and business leaders have recognized this and are making adjustments. You can too. This is where this AI book comes in as your guide. The reality is that a well-written AI book will give you an important foundation to not just survive, but thrive.

Or will we embrace the challenge, adapt to the changes, and thrive in this new landscape?
Many might state that they don’t have time to learn how to adapt because the information changes so rapidly. This may be true for many resources on AI. However, there are some that have been designed for that very purpose.
